TechCrunch รายงานว่า Twitter/X เริ่มแสดงโฆษณาแบบไม่มีป้ายกำกับบอกว่าเป็นโฆษณา (Ad หรือของเดิมใช้คำว่า Promoted) เป็นโพสต์เนียนๆ เหมือนข้อความทั่วไปที่ไม่ใช่โฆษณา

TechCrunch ทดลองแล้วยืนยันว่าพบโพสต์โฆษณาเนียนๆ ที่ตัดคำว่า Ad ตรงมุมขวาบนออกไปจริงๆ โดยจุดสังเกตว่าเป็นโฆษณาแอบเนียนหรือไม่ คือโฆษณาไม่มีตัวเลขแสดงเวลาที่โพสต์ และสามารถเช็คโดยกดปุ่ม … ที่มุมขวาบน หากยังมีเมนูแบบเดียวกับโฆษณา เช่น Why this ad? ก็เท่ากับว่าเป็นโฆษณา
